
The annual Halloween festivities needed to promote all of the new attractions and characters. Elementals, Dio De Los Muertos characters, Scarecrows, and… A PIRATE!
In the kickoff meeting, I wrote down “Pirate Sea Shanty”. That started the process of my favorite project to date. I concepted, directed, music produced, voice-acted, set-dressed, propped, & designed one of the most successful marketing campaigns the zoo has had in decades.

Attendance goals blown out of the water.
With a memorable earworm, strategic media buying, and updating highlights every season, we continually beat their attendance goals by thousands even when they were raised by at least 10% annually.
A highlight of the experience was getting to work with a production company to program a their robotic arm to film the motion over the tabletop as I choreographed each character’s hand to act with their portion of the recorded voices.
