It has been one of the greatest honors of my career to partner with 8th Day. Starting with the initial brand conception and evolving their marketing, packaging, and website over the last 11 years, our ethos could not align more: produce beautiful, and HONESTLY LOCAL products.

OWNING LOCAL.

In a sea of spirit brands that source their liquid, the best impact a truly local distiller can make is to own their FULLY LOCAL status of sourcing their ingredients and producing all of their product in their space. I wrote this tagline for them, and it has become their rallying cry and stake in the ground to differentiate them on crowded shelves and bar backs.

With their home in an old factory, texture and grit have been a large part of 8th Day’s brand voice. This resulted in a lot of time weathering the type used on their labels and marketing materials. To accelerate this process for myself and their team, I created this custom typeface that includes all the rough edges and weathered bits.
